Peter Eloi was born on the island of Dominica, where he learned the craft of sandalmaking from a friend.
He started making shoes at the age of 19. He worked under the guidance of his friend for 4 years, before
branching out on his own.
He travelled thru the Caribbean and Europe before settling in St Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands in 2004.
Peter felt there was a need for a comfortable, affordable custom-made shoe of genuine leather. He opened
his shop in Tillett Garens in 2009, which also offers unique wood carvings and island jewelry items.
Peter is able to guide customers to finding a design that "fits". And he can make modifications to create
something that is truly original. His committment to the customer's satisfaction is demonstrated by his offer:
